AAF_Collection Posted May 30, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2016 I thought I would share an item from my pre WWII Air Corps collection. This silver plated pitcher was presented to Captain Ralph Stearley for his performance in the 1937 Air Corps Tatcical School horse show. In 1937 the ACTS was located at Maxwell Field, Alabama. Ralph Francis Stearley was born in 1898 in Brazil, Indiana and went on to have a distinguished career in the Air Force during and after WWII. General Stearley passed away in February 1973. I'm sure there must have been coverage of the ACTS horse show, but so far I have failed to locate any reports or pictures of the event. It would be woderfull to locate a picture of Capt. Stearley with his trophy!. Matt.
