Tonomachi Posted May 25, 2016 #6 Posted May 25, 2016 Which details in particular so I know for the future? There are a number of variations of this paratrooper wing which were made during the post war occupation years in Japan. None of the different manufactures used the pin and catch combination on the back of your paratrooper wing which you usually only see on US manufactured paratrooper wings. This has always been one of the key things to look for as they can cast just about anything but they can't always get the rear fixings right because they are no longer available for purchase. Below is an original 11th Airborne Division occupation paratrooper wing with the correct tongue catch and the rear of the pin rotates in a crudely made base where a rectangular length of thin metal is simply folded into a sandwich and a hole drilled through which is soldered in place.
davidsajben Posted May 25, 2016 Author #7 Posted May 25, 2016 OK... Looks like I'm a pass on these then. I appreciate it fellas.
