zsmith Posted May 24, 2016 Share #3 Posted May 24, 2016 You do some really great work. Is any of the design carved into the patch before painting or is it just painted on a flat piece of leather?
Johnny Signor Posted May 24, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted May 24, 2016 Thanks irish & zsmith, I "impress" the design into the leather with a special tool I use , it gives the patch a semi "3-D" look, it dosen't always show in the photo, if you were holding looking at one you'd see this better . Johnny I thought I could see some signs of the impressions but I wasn't sure if it was a painting technique or an actual impression. Either way I already assumed it looked even better in person. Photos don't often do justice to artwork.
