Hi guys and gals was wondering if any of you could help me with something?

I have two original ww2 coal bags, well i hope they both are!

One is dated 1943 and has a makers name (can provide of necessary, just have to dig it out). This one is light (tan) in colour and on the frontis printed '2 BUSHELS .

The second i have which was actually the first i bought is dark green od. Exact dame pattern with 2 BUSHELS printed on ot but i cannot find a date.

Is it possible that this dark green coal bag is post war? Or late war perhaps?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you!

Scott

Hello Scott,

The answer is yes and yes, it is possible it is WW II or post war, with out a clear date it is just speculation. I posted a display with a one bushel bag here: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/256301-blacksmith-display/

They aren't very common, but don't command a high price as it isn't combat related.
