1941 vehicle pictures - 151st Field Artillery, 34th Division

I came across these pictures recently and figured they were worth posting.

 

On their backs, these pictures are dated from the spring of 1941, and the truck is clearly marked as being from the 151st Field Artillery, which was a Minnesota National Guard unit called to Federal service in February 1941 as part of the 34th Division. With those dates in mind, I believe these were most likely taken at Camp Claiborne, Lousiana.

 

I suspect that their experience in the mud in Louisiana was to serve them well in Italy later.
