I got these from my wife's uncle who said they were her grandfathers, a world war 2 vet.

Looking for help on ID.

First flag, is this world war 2 vintage? Any help with a date on this would be great. Markings shown. Stars NOT sewn on. Thanks

Third flag. It's big, approx 7'5" x 4'7". Looks "old". White on flag is either discolored or cream colored. Stars are sewn on. Material seems woven? I tried to take pics to show different aspects of the flag. "209" on a star? Faint markings but can't make out....

Any ideas on this one? Date? Vintage?

Thanks

It can be hard to date these, as the 48 was in use from 1912-1959 but I would say the first one is earlier possibly war time but civilian use.

The second one could be, but the shininess of the grommet makes me think post WW2.

But it is not an exact science.

There is a forum for US flags that may provide the info you seek.

Try searching "American Flags Forum"
