River Assault Squadron 13 Maintenance patch

Found this on Ebay the other day in a misc insignia lot. Well made (nice silk cross stitching) and well used (has lots of OD threads from having been on a uniform). Rather large - 5 1/2 inches tall. I suspect the maintenance guys in the unit had these made up and each had his name embroidered on the white scroll at the bottom. The name appears to be"Birch" with the "C" having some wear at the top which makes it appear to be an "L".

I have one of these as well made the same way. I think ours has "Williams" at the bottom. This is only the second I have seen.

That would seem to confirm the bottom scroll is the name of the wearer. Being they were made to order, I would guess a dozen or two made?
