According to my records Assman was manufacturing DI's from roughly around 1954 thru 1964. So this dates this particular DI from the occupation period.

Thanks a lot for these informations.

I would say late 40's to early 50's, due to the pin back system. Later pieces are "thumbtack" clutch back.
