David D Posted May 1, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2016 These boots were worn by Harry Plisevich of 3rd BN, 501st PIR. He was reported MIA and assumed Killed on D-Day due to a miss drop. His family thought he was dead for a few days days. He was later captured in the Battle of the Bulge. You can tell these boots have been there and back. More on him can be seen here: An interview with him from 2001 http://memory.loc.gov/diglib/vhp/story/loc.natlib.afc2001001.01512/transcript?ID=sr0001
