Hello !

this 2 x 3 x 0,2 inch plate was a finding a few weeks ago. Covered by soil around 12 inch and in bad condition.

But nevertheless the detector signal was loud and clear!

The arrow upon GERMANY 1945 stands for the involvement of the 90th ID (Tough Ombres) in the D-Day Landings, and each star symbolizes each campaign the Division took part, like Normandy, Northern France.... .

I suppose right it is a kind of commemorative plate, for each member of the whole Division when returning home? What else can be said about this piece?

Would be nice to have a look at a better sample. Somebody can do me that favour?

Thanks!
