In 2004 we could bring back one complete uniform to include a helmet and boots, one protective mask (I think, but maybe not), and a few other trinkets. No weapons, but nobody really cared if you brought back a bayonet. Any weapons would require a commander at some level I don't remember to sign off on it, and it would have to be a legal type here. Plus it would require approval from the ATF and State Dept if I remember correctly. It didn't happen much if ever. I know a dude who was offered a Russian SVD, a real Dragunov SVD, worth almost $10k in the US but his commander wouldn't allow it. That would have been an awesome collector's item. Used by and against the Soviets and the Afghanistans, plus used against the Taliban off and on since where my buddy was at didn't much like the Taliban when they were ruling the nation.
