Interesting Toy "MP" Helmet

This toy helmet looks very much like the liner for the M1 but it is actually about 2/3 the size. It is made of a pressed fiber and painted brown on the inside and green on the outside. The cloth suspension system and chin strap is long gone. The Army eagle decal on the front looks to be original to the helmet with the "MP" and "4" applied later by hand. There is a name penciled on the inside but it is difficult to read.
