Hi Everyone, I hope that someone in here can help me out a little, I need to know the best color and markings ( links photos ect...) that were on the M26A1 "Lemon" Fragmentation Hand Grenade in Vietnam. I have a few training frags that I would like to paint and mark like the real ones, (leaving the hole to prove that it is inert) Thanks for your help!

El Bibliotecario

Don't have any color pictures, but I looked in my 1978 JANE'S INFANTRY WEAPONS and confirmed my memory that the body is painted OD with markings stenciled in yellow. JANE'S black and whitie illustration shows the upper hemisphere marked:

GRENADE, HAND

FRAG M26

These markings are center justified. On the bottom hemisphere in the same large letters and centered on the upper hemisphere markings is COMP B (the filler) and some lot number markings in letters too small to read.
