Anyone ever been to this place in Colorado? Going there tomorrow. I use to buy patches from his catalog years ago.

Eldon Leisure is a great person. I had the opportunity to meet him and purchase some items from him several years ago at an ASMIC convention that was in Denver..

I hear people with that name hate it when it's spelled or pronounced "Leisure." :D

At least I did from Kindergarten until college!

One of the greatest characters I have ever met in 76 years on the planet.Looks like a good old boy but is a very very smart one, and has handled some great items.Scotty

Spent a lot of time in that place since 1995 - 2012. What is up front is only a scratch on the surface of what he has. Usually has a nice selection of C&R firearms and I bought a lot of them.

Is he back in business? I used to stop by there some years ago and the last time I came by he wasn't there any more. It was always pleasant to stop by and see all the militaria and talk to him.

Great comments, heading out on early morning, then off to mile high flea market, yeh I always spell his name wrong, well if he's there I will pass on greetings.

I was just kidding, anyway. My dad had a buddy that had another often mispronounced name all through school, and he had a son in my grade. All through school, same deal for two generations!

The thing I remember best about Eldon is that he always wore a black top hat..

Again, A wonderful man and full of knowledge

Yes, and in my haste I did type his name wrong....but he is the type of person that wouldn't mind...

I don't either, only reason I brought it up is that a couple of years ago I was amazed to see another one of us so far away from where the surname is anything above unheard of. So trust me, I was just kidding.

I actually messaged the shop on ebay back then, but an employee answered and the dialog didn't go any further because they had a job to do and didn't have time for his boss's genealogy! Like I said, ever since kindergarten... I've had medical files mixed up locally because I had the same first name as a dude from a local branch of the family that dropped the first "e", and to be honest, the surname is spelled four different ways in an 1823 family will I have a copy of, none of which are the original French spelling. Believe me, I'd be too busy for much else if I was offended by it. Just joking.

Wow I used to get some stuff mail ordered from him back in the day, nice to see he's still around.

Hey Billy, remember old Quincy Sales :D, now that's going way way back.

Yes I do that place was the first I ever bought patches through the mail. Well I made it leasures treasures and the owner is a very friendly individual, as is his wife. I mentioned a few names of fellow forum members and his eyes lit up I haven't seen him in years he stated. Let me look around found a few patches nothing rare. But fair. Plus I'm limited to what I can fit in suitcase for plane. The owner is up in years and is fazing out of militaria. But still does about 15 shows a year. It is a very cramped store overloaded I should say( that's a good thing) but let me look at whatever I wanted to dig through. After I left the store went the Manitou cliff dwellings. Pretty amazing!

I remember Eldon when he had his shop[ in Manhattan, KS. He was a character then, and the last time I saw him, was even more so. You can't help but like the guy. He reminds me a lot of Jerome in California. Acts like a bumpkin, sharp as a tack.

Glad to know he is still "picking them up and putting them down." He's handled more great stuff than most people will ever see in a lifetime.

Eldon & his wife were always kind to me. I remember first meeting them at the Great Western in Pomona back in the '80's. He always had good solid stock with the occasional treasure piece. He let me come behind the table and dig throught all his boxes. People like them make our hobby so enjoyable.
