pearlharborbaby Posted April 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted April 4, 2016 It's a little tattered but wanted to share because it's a little different. Marked on bunting F. Vanderherchen Sons Philadelphia Penna.
Grant S. Posted April 4, 2016 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2016 That is interesting. Clearly meant to be flown as a flag, and not hang on a door or in a window. The design is not of any signal flag that I can find.
Mr.Jerry Posted April 4, 2016 Share #3 Posted April 4, 2016 I think that one may be more of a "yacht flag" than a service flag. I have seen pennant versions of the son in service flag, but this one having the white cross is a bit odd. I was able to find an ad from 1911 that does show the Mfgr as a a boating supplies Mfgr. It is a neat flag though, just not a service flag IMO.
