Hi all,

These don't show up very often so when I saw this one pop up on eBay I thought I would share it here.I'm no expert on these but it looks to be authentic, although I'll let the experts determine that ^_^

The seller is also offering some other Korean War pieces that look pretty nice.

Here is a link to the auction:

everything that you want to see in one. I love it....beat up, but a good one. I was following it too. Worth a solid $350-400 in that condition as a place holder.Looks to be a UNPFK "with an F" but it is beat up. Could go more since these are hard to find and all hand made. On the reverse, it looks like the black thread may have been pulled out on the F.

A good condition one can bring $600-750 on ebay. Sometimes higher. I think a dealer has one for $750-850 on ebay or their USMF sponsor site right now.

For a great collection of them look at our fellow forums site http://www.botrmilitaria.com/#!8240th-army-unit-insignia--patches/cq0d

Thanks fellows for the confirmation and info.OCS,yes it could be a "F" that has a thread pulled. If that is the case, then that would make it an earlier version,IIRC.Funny thing though, the seller has it listed as an "UNPLK" patch

I did see the collection of UNPIK and UNPFK patch images on the BOTR site, the variations shown there are a good reference that I will bookmark. Thanks for the heads up.

I was watching that patch as well. I thought it would bring more than it did and ended at a very reasonable price. It's nice to see a well worn/used one, which are my personal favorites. This non swallow tall version is much scarcer than the swallow tail version that you normally see. I think this patch started out its life as a UNPFK patch. The horizontal portions of the "F" could have been plucked out by it's original owner when the unit designation changed from UNPFK to UNPIK.

ocsfollowme mentioned my 8240th AU website. Here's a link to the page:
