439th Signal Battalion Posted September 4, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2008 List I am seeking any and all information, records, documents, and photographs regarding the 439th Signal Construction Battation (Aviation) and other componenets of the the 64th Fighter Wing during WWII. The unit(s) served in the ETO with the XII Tactical Air Command of the 12th and 9th Army Air Forces from 1942-1945. Regards, R. 316th FS 324th FG Posted September 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2008 Hi Robby, Have you checked with the AFHRA at Maxwell? I was able to purchase copies of all of the micorfilm (9 rolls) related tot he 324th FG and its 3 squadrons. Any mention of the 64th Wing or the 439th I will make sure to set aside. But, it is likely that they may have microfulm on your grandfather's guys as well. I had the microfilm digitized to PDF's although I still want to go down to Maxwell to pull the acutal files and get copies of the photos etc. Good luck Doug
