I was thinking 60's to 70's with the blue ring collar, but I have no idea the tag is gone I just thought it was a cool shirt thanks
Edelweisse Posted March 29, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2016 Hi, That's a 1970's USAF Physical Training (PT) t-shirt. I still have mine from 1972.....
firefighter Posted April 7, 2016 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2016 I agree, 1970's.I remember these at the Army-Navy stores. When I went, 1982, we just wore white t-shirts.We had a choice if we wanted our squadron number but we voted NO.
flyboy53 Posted April 8, 2016 Share #4 Posted April 8, 2016 Agreed, 1970s. Of my era, these were not issued at basic training and were purchased at military clothing sales stores to be worn with blue athletic shorts and grey cotton sweat shirts and sweat pants. Mine came from Elmendorf AFB. I wore it out long ago. Kind of nice to see one again. By the mid 1970s, BMTS squadrons issued PT shirts with squadron numbers. I started with the 3702 BMTS. The PT T-shirt was light blue with 3702 BMTS in white letters. The one T-shirt I purchased at the Lackland troop exchange was gold with a Hap Arnold emblem.
