Wolfhound Posted March 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 28, 2016 I picked this up on ebay years ago, if I recall correctly, for $16? as the only bidder Originally purchased because the seller claimed Hendricks Park in Eugene was named after Major Hendricks (have never been able to verify that), but I did discover that Maj. Gen. John F. Miller was the commander of the Oregon militia in 1871 and led Oregon forces in the Modoc Indian War. Appointment of Major Hendricks as Aide to Maj. Gen Miller, 4 Mar 1871, signed by Oregon Gov. La Fayette Grover
