cmt04444 Posted March 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2016 Is there anyway to tell ww2 belts from Korean War belts. The tob belt here is marked 1943 boys on the back. The lower has brass parts but no date stamp, is it a ww2 example?
oldabewla Posted March 26, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2016 Do they have the inner divider straps with a snap inside the pockets? for the 03, 03A3, A4 and 17's all wwii belts have them from 1941-42 up till 1944 in 1945 they were delete from production. The top belt has the pot metal buckles these were used during the WWII production starting in 42' of the cartridge belts which earlier had the brass buckles also should be marked as said BOYT43 both these belts are WWII production. The Korean War belts went back to brass buckles with OD canvas and no mix of canvas colors.

RustyCanteen Posted March 29, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 29, 2016 Top belt looks like 1944-45 production with the '03 clip snap inside.
