jiro90 Posted March 23, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2016 Looking for some opinions on this cap please. Looks new but shows some age here and there. Should there be a makers mark inside the cap?

doyler Posted March 23, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2016 I would sa WW2 era.Sweat band and liner similiar to a cap I have made by Knox.My knox hat is the same type materials as the WW@ jackets and skirts. The EGA type was worn into the 50s though then replaced by the 58 pattern
CombatEng44 Posted March 23, 2016 Share #7 Posted March 23, 2016 Post WWII...top seam goes only half way on the WWII ones. Worth $20 tops. Tons out there but great for re-enactors.
Brig Posted April 14, 2016 Share #8 Posted April 14, 2016 WWII emblem, I'd venture to say much later cap, the sidebuttons are definitely much more modern

The seam on the cap is the giveaway that it is post WWII. ...Kat
