Agree--it's a great example and kept its color well---it was most likely brought/sent home by one of the 150,000 National Guardsmen who were mobilized in 1916 and sent to the Mexican border after Villa's raid on 9 March. Many of them spent between 6 and 8 months on the border and returned home just in time to get activated again to serve in WWI.
