Uniform button, unknown. Any ideas?

Recommended Posts

I have a cadet style wool uniform and I've been trying to pin point a school associated with it. Perhaps someone has seen this one before?

Here is the coat it belongs to.

Button is not listed in Albert's book on military buttons, not listed among the 453 buttons in the section on schools. Could still be a particular school, just not listed in this reference.

Are they any labels in the coat? I think I saw this one for sale with the matching shirt listed separately. Might be able to figure it out if it's named and dated.

Sure is nice looking.

You're most likely thinking of the same listing, as I do have the matching shirt as well.

There isn't any laundry marks, name, etc.

But here are the labels.

The jacket:

Hi, it was a nice uniform at a very good price. I wonder what the patch was? I'm thinking mid 1950s?

I was hoping to have a better idea once I received it and could poke around but so far I've come up empty. I see other ROTC/Miltsry schools have similar "lyre" patches, though other than band, I can't hazard a guess as to what it might represent...
