Jonsey Posted March 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2016 Anyone purchased reproduction aircraft panels, nose art, etc? Where did you purchase it and are you satisfied with the look and cost. Thanks Jeff
JDK Posted March 7, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2016 Jeff, I have purchased from Gary at FightingColors.com or Velasco Enterprises. He does some great work and is a super passionate nose art and WW2 warbird guy. I bought 2 panels from him at a big air show a few years back and had the pilots sign them right there. One was Bud Anderson. Here is a old pic of the signed panel and a photo of him signing it for me. As for price, I think he is up there, but his work is very good. Jonsey Posted March 8, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted March 8, 2016 Nice display. That looks very nice. I checked out his website and wonder what he charges for a special order. Probably out of my range.
Waltz41 Posted March 12, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 12, 2016 Second Gary Velasco at Fighting colors. Really enjoy mine, I think it is such a great display piece. He actually does paint some of the nose art on some modern flying warbirds. I would think though a custom piece could get a little pricey.....but it would come out top notch for sure.
