First US Army had an Ordnance Detachment and various Ordnance Depots, Repair Shops, Artillery Repair units and etc. The "1" could be for First Army Artillery Park or other First Army Ordnance activities in my opinion. gomorgan Posted April 30, 2016 Share #53 Posted April 30, 2016 I've located 1st Army GO#28 dated 10-26-18 and GO#33 dated 11-9-18, will be getting copy to Brian aka WW I Nerd. Again these only establish the size of the 1st Army patch & color of "A" but does not clear the waters up on the 3rd Pioneers. These all that I can find from my old notes etc. from 84 when we did the AEF Insignia book.
