firefighter Posted March 5, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 5, 2016 I'm not an expert on maker marks. But it looks Vietnam era to me.They started using the shiny stuff later on. So this one would be for WW2, Korea, & Vietnam.
rd12 Posted March 6, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 6, 2016 1/20 SF content dates this badge to pre-1975. Around 1975 US government dropped the 1/20 SF requirement in favor of cheaper alloys. Also, the use of STERLING was phased out between 1967-69. So you've got a solid 1969-1975 period CIB. And yes, SIMCO was used by the E.H. SIMON Co. Nice badge! SFMike Posted March 27, 2016 Share #10 Posted March 27, 2016 I think only about 300 odd, triple CIB wearers existed. I knew a couple of them, gone, now.
