mvmhm Posted February 20, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2016 Not sure if this is the right area, but...several months ago, a man stopped by and mentioned that he had a 1966 year book from SP4 LaPointe's senior year (he was later awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously) - his widow is one of our volunteers. He brought the book in today, along with a large lot of other items...some from his service in Iceland during the Cold War...some from his father (3rd ID in WWII, including this invasion armband and that's his Dad in the photo), and some from his grandfather in WWI. Check out the ephemera section for an original Flying Tiger photo. Mark sends

Blacksmith Posted March 6, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 6, 2016 I agree, I like them field used. Bought one at last ASMIC show, with "Invasion of Southern France August 15th, 1944" written on the back - not named though.
