Innerworld3 Posted February 15, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2016 Hello, Have recently been looking to collecting some USMC MARPAT uniforms. Just one question that I can't seem to answer. Are all MARPAT trousers "FROG"?Wasn't sure if these trousers are worn with both the FROG shirt and the MARPAT blouse, or just the FROG shirt.Hope my question makes sense.Thank you! MilRGRHistory Posted February 15, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 15, 2016 The "FROG" Trousers are a separate item issued with the combat shirt. FROG or Flame Resistant Organizational Gear are the Marines' combat shirt and pants. The pants are marked with the same FROG tag as the shirt and have reinforced knees and lower leg pockets; different from the standard trousers. The big difference being flame resistant material like the Army FR ACUs or OCPs. I was lucky enough to get a set of desert and woodland FROG suits from a Marine buddy of mine. Still working in getting a Woodland Crye set from a MARSOC buddy.
MilRGRHistory Posted February 15, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2016 Marked woodland pants; woodland was a much more strict issue item compared to desert.

SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted February 16, 2016 Share #6 Posted February 16, 2016 Additionally, the FROG trousers have wide beltloops (around 1" wide) and also have small pockets near the ankles.
