2ndInf.Div. Posted February 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2016 Picked this up today and was looking for some more info. This is a 1903 dated mess kit, and I can't find a thing about it. It has some slightly different features from a M1910, and the lid is slightly more raised than a M1910. Any ideas? I included a comparison photo with a M1910. Keystone Posted February 7, 2016 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2016 Your 1903 is slightly different from the 1874 (Spanish American War) pattern. The bottom was made deeper and the top flatter. overall dimensions were the same. Yours is also made of steel, the M1910 was made of aluminum. From left to right is an 1874 pattern, my 1903 dated steel pattern and my 1916 dated m1910 pattern. Tim
