Austin R Posted February 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2016 This has been in my friend's collection for as long as I remember, and I always wanted to buy it off him. He is starting to downsize and finally decided to sell it. It's a standard civilian suitcase from the 40s, but was painted with a pair of RCAF pilot wings and the name and hometown of Frank Crepeau. I haven't found out much about him besides his date of birth and being a Canadian-American.

irish Posted February 5, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2016 You may want to post this on the WAF site in the British Commonwealth section. There are a few RCAF folks who look in there. Nice item by the way.

pchepurko Posted February 9, 2016 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2016 Look at the main section of the subsection and you will see a pinned thread about research at the Canadian Archives. His service record should be available. I don't think he was KIA.
Hallibag Posted December 2, 2021 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2021 Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I picked up the twin of your suitcase. Different airman’s name but obviously the same artist!
Austin R Posted April 24, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted April 24, 2022 Thats amazing! Defiantly done by the same hand. I found another one a few years back done by the same hand as well. The pilot was a POW during the war and moved to America Afterwards.
