This is the only acceptable style in which the patch should be found; those with black "39th Inf" on Japanese made armor triangles are made for collectors. Infantry divisions had tank companies attached to each infantry regiment c. 1949. There is an upcoming article on tank companies in the next issue of The Trading Post.
