cavsaddle Posted February 1, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2016 This past week I was fortunate to find a rare piece of M1912 tack. It is identical to the one illustrated in the 1912 Manual. It was used in place of the leather halter in stables and on picket lines. The jowl piece is stamped in ink "U.S. J.Q.M.D 1932 TC". The only other stamp is the number "4" perhaps a size? These did not survive in any numbers because of their practical use by farmers when put on the surplus market. The first I've see in 50 years of collecting..
