VP 93 EXECUTIONERS - USNR Patrol Squadron in service 1976 to 1994. VP-93 was the last reserve patrol squadron to be formed as part of the reorganization of the Naval Air Reserve during the 1970s. The squadron’s home port was NAF Detroit, and it came under the operational and administrative control of Commander Reserve Patrol Wings, Atlantic.

VP-91 STINGERS - Patrol Squadron 91 (VP-91) was a patrol squadron of the U.S. Naval Reserve. It was the second squadron to bear the VP-91 designation, the first VP-91 was redesignated VPB-91 on 1 October 1944. The squadron was established on 1 November 1970 and deactivated 29 years later, on 31 March 1999. It flew the Lockheed P-3 Orion, and was based at NAS Moffett Field during its entire life. The squadron's nicknames were the Pink Panthers from 1970-1984, the Stingers from 1984-1991, and the Black Cats from 1991-1999. Units of the squadron made 25 major overseas deployments

VA(HM)-10 HEAVY ATTACK MINING SQUADRON TEN - 1956 to 1959 (Previously and subsequently VP-17)
On 1 JUL 56, while deployed to NAF Naha, Okinawa, Japan, Patrol Squadron Seventeen (VP-17) was redesignated Heavy Attack Mining Squadron Ten.
VA(HM)-10 was one of two such squadrons in the NAVY. One west coast - one east coast. Flying Lockheed P2V-6 Neptunes, VA(HM)-10 retained the tail letters-"BH".
In April of 1957 the squadron began to transition to the P2V-5F. The squadron's P2V-6M aircraft were transferred to the reserves in preparation for a WestPac deployment in the -5Fs. On 1 SEP 57, VA(HM)-10 deployed to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan and FAW-6 with their -5Fs. All NAVY patrol squadrons received new tail codes letters on 9 DEC 57. VA(HM)-10 dropped their old "BH" tail code and began using "ZE".
On 18 MAY 59 the squadron deployed with their -5Fs to NAS Kodiak, Alaska. On 1 JUL 59 Heavy Attack Mining Squadron Ten (VA(HM)-10) was redesignated back to PATROL SQUADRON SEVENTEEN (VP-17)

Nice USNR patch Bearmon,

There were two (2) VP-725 Squadrons. I wonder if there were two or more different patches for their squadron.

2nd VP-725 Jan 1963 Jan 1968 NAS Glenview, Ill.
