1canpara Posted January 25, 2016 Share #10 Posted January 25, 2016 It's fast becoming the norm and not the exception....once I start watching a nice helmet, I'm almost surprised if it gets to the end of the auction. One I used to own, and hoped to get back, was up for sale on eBay until yesterday and then it was gone before the end of the auction....however it didn't have any bids yet so I guess I should've dropped a bid on it to see if that would've held it until the auctions end. We DO NOT know the whole story behind each of these cases and the only information we have comes from the person who initializes the thread. This thread is a case in point. The information which been posted in the beginning is NOT the whole story. As a matter of fact, the seller appears to be the innocent party in this case and is a member here. The USMF is for discussion of militaria and not a place to slam selling practices on eBay. If it's a fake, then post it, if you are upset about their business model, don't post it. All future threads of this type will be shut down since they serve no purpose except to tear people apart without knowing the whole story. Finally, we all hate it when a seller closes early to an outside deal, it's not fair but then, no one has ever stated that life is fair. We need to bite our lips and move on.
