Brig Posted January 19, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 19, 2016 There was actually a vet org, I think Marine specific, that used an eagle and globe as its crest. I had seen many emblems with the anchor removed over the years. I finally found one integrated with a wreath, presumably for officers of the organization. GOAmules Posted January 19, 2016 Share #6 Posted January 19, 2016 In the Navy some of us wore belt buckles that had a little model of the ship, in relief soldered on the buckle plate. One of my shipmates with a bad attitude popped the ship off, cut it in half, and resoldered it on his buckle tilted up in the middle, like it was sinking!
