easterneagle87 Posted January 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2016 retty sure this is a family re-print of an original WW2 photo. Showing, a B-24, and nose art, "Red Hot Riding Hood." No tail number. the internet shows a Red Hot Riding Hood II. That plane is in polished aluminum, not the drab OD color of the plane in the picture. Can or does anyone have any info on this bad boy? Thanks!

pararaftanr2 Posted January 14, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 14, 2016 I think this may be the plane in your photo. B-24H-15-FO, 8th AF, 466 BG, 786 BS. "The crew was stationed at Attelbridge, England from Mar-Sep 1944. They made a crash landing at St. Mihel, France 5 Sep 44 after being hit by flak while on a bomb run to the Marshalling Yard at Karlsruhe, Germany. This was their 30th and final mission. Fortunately, everyone on the crew survived the crash landing and returned to England, and subsequently to the United States, via the "Queen Mary"." Photos of the crash and the crew can be seen here: http://www.b24bestweb.com/redhotridinghood-v1-4.htm Regards, Paul
