agate hunter Posted January 10, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2016 Found this American Legion group photo in an antique store recently. The man on the top far right of photo wears a 1st Special Service Force patch on his right sleeve. The man below him wears a 9th Air Force patch on his right sleeve. The man fourth from left looks to wear an Air Corps patch of some kind on his right sleeve. I can only make out the station number on the men's hats, 176. I don't know what city they are located. I can make out the letters "WA" on the left side of some of their caps, maybe this is the town name, or just "WASHINGTON," for the state. Taken in 1959. doyler Posted January 11, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2016 thats cool.have an ike with a 5th Ranger on one side and VFW on the other. The 5th looks like a patch king or hobby guild?seen this done before on vets who stayed in the service. If you search the post number I came up with several but there was a Post 176 in Vancouver Washington.
