Adam R Posted January 10, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2016 Here's something you don't see every day; United Spanish War Veterans walking canes. One of them is apparently from a reunion in Ohio in 1937.

SARGE Posted January 11, 2016 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2016 I have seen the Civil War Veteran canes but never the SAW examples. Thanks for showing them.
KevinBeyer Posted July 31, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2016 I have an unidentified cane which was hand made by a person who was most likely a vet, or was made for a vet, of the Spanish American War. Serpents have always been used to adorn hand crafted canes. However, I suspect that this cane was owned by a person who not only was a member of the United Spanish War Veterans, but also a member of the Military Order of the Serpent.
