SDCrash Posted January 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2016 Does anyone have a clue about the patch in the picture? My grandmother was in the Army Nurse Corps serving as a nurse with the 165th General Hospital near Cherbourg, France around '44-'45. I could try to pull some more information, but hopefully this is a good start. Please let me know where I can find more information on identifying this patch or if you know anything that may help. Thanks, SDCrash

cutiger83 Posted January 8, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 8, 2016 I would love to see your Grandmother's entire uniform not just the patch. ...Kat
TheWarFrontOR Posted January 9, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 9, 2016 How wonderful! I would love to see the uniform as well and hear any stories about her time there, I love to hear more about women's day to day in the European theater and LOVE that you are interested in your grandmother's uniform. Good luck in your research at any rate! - Sammie
SDCrash Posted January 18, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted January 18, 2016 Great- I will post the finished product here when I'm done. There's a little story as well, but I can also add to the story as my grandparents met at that field hospital and married back in the States after the war ended. Thanks for the interest!
