Several months ago, I found an officer's four pocket coat at a vintage clothing store. Nice coat, with the veteran's name on the tailor's tag. On the cuff are the gold wings of an instructor pilot.

I went back to the shop this week and found this crusher. Kind of beat up, but I was happy to see that it had the same veteran's name inside.

Finding the crusher motivated to start searching the flight training yearbooks. I knew what class he was in (44-D) but didn't know which field. I was fortunate to finally find him at Moore Field in Mission, Texas. He trained as a fighter pilot.

This is the card from inside his crusher. The cap was made by Knox. Unfortunately the plastic material inside the cap is falling apart.

Thanks! I'll keep going back to see if more shows up. The store owner didn't remember them coming in at the same time, so it might have been brought in piecemeal.
