SOCOM DUI Question

From 1982 to 1987 we wore these crests and flash/oval under the 1st Special Operations Command, a one-star billet. Then it changed to US Special Operations Command under a 4-star, called MFP11 (goldwatersnichols nunncohen acts). Gen Lindsey was the first after commanding the XVIII ABC and READINESS COMMAND where the billets actually came from. The earlier billets were out of hide, so to speak.--Ray

rlyoun3910,

I realize this is an old thread but I have this coin and wonder if you ever saw one while serving with 1ST SOCOM?

Any idea who "JH" might be?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks Basic Rifleman.

That makes complete sense to me.

I was wondering if he was a founding member of the 1ST SOCOM who came up with the design.
