Do you have any more information on what kind of suspenders the ones that came with it are and when they were made? Are they pre-war m36 suspenders or something else? I have one like this Musette bag as well, coming from the Cherbourg area. It seems to have a nylon trimming. Mine is stamped 1942. Which also led me to another question: could a musette bag with the extra tap on the flap like this be used in the Normandy campaign? There are some that claim these are "late types" and never could have been around in Normandy. I like to think these were available then, as I checked with two veterans.
