kyhistorian01 Posted January 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2016 In December I posted a tribute to the late Admiral Vincent DePoix. I got to know the Admiral through correspondence and phone conversations several years ago and he chose to entrust me with some of his remaining artifacts during that time. I recently had the time to take some snapshots of a very special artifact he entrusted me with, his orange international flight suit, which was worn when he commanded the Second Fleet. he also sent me his flight helmet and named helmet bag as well as his pilot gauntlets a survival knife and a pair of 1963 dated pilot boots, which makes a nice display. I thought I would share it here as its one of the highlights of my small aviation history collection / display. He was a great man and I am honored to be able keep his memory alive in my collection / displays. Pic

northcoastaero Posted January 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 3, 2016 The helmet looks like a USN/USMC APH-6B or APH-6C. The flight suit appears to be the USAF K-2B?
