Bebel Posted January 2, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2016 I've just got this P-1b manufactured in 1953 with a good painting. Franck
jerry_k Posted January 2, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2016 Nice one Franck. You back to the business? Cheers, Jerry
Bebel Posted January 3, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted January 3, 2016 Hi Jerry, Not really. However, I still like all that. Getting a good one from time to time is my way now. This helmet is the only aviation item I got since I sold my collection. Franck

northcoastaero Posted January 3, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 3, 2016 The helmet art does seem familiar. Reminds me of the patch design for the USN squadron VS-28. I will have to do more research on USAF squadrons.
northcoastaero Posted January 4, 2016 Share #6 Posted January 4, 2016 Try researching the 428th Fighter-Bomber Squadron flying the F-84 and F-86. I saw one of their F-111 patches with the same set of cards. Found this by accident. Hope this helps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannon_Air_Force_Base

Bebel Posted January 5, 2016 Author Share #9 Posted January 5, 2016 You're right but I don't have any more B-5. All have been sold... Yes, the comm cord is the original U-75/U plug. Franck
