TALLYHO Posted December 19, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2015 The H-16 (predecessor to the PBY Catalina) had twin 500 hp Liberty engines. This is the right hand propeller. It measures 9`6", has 10 lamination's and the hub is 7 1/2" deep. I picked this up back in the 80`s from a fellow I had started working with at the time. One day I went to his house and there in the garage on the floor was this propeller. Having an interest in aviation I inquired where it came from. Turned out it It was his fathers who had passed away. I said if you ever want to sell it let me know. Well about a year later he approached me and asked if I was still interested. Turned out he was a bit hard up for some quick cash. I acquired it for a song and a dance. Lashed it down on the roof of my `82 Volvo and drove it home. You just never know.
