USS KINKAID (DD-965) Spruance class in service 1976 to 2003 - The 'new' Spruance class destroyers being commissioned in 1976 (KINKAID was the third one) were the last USN ship patches that H-H made for the fleet.

When Hilborn-Hamburger (and Gemsco) ceased production after the fall of Saigon, Swiss-Tex picked up the slack and went into full production of USN patches until they ceased in 1991.

USS DOWNES (FF-1070) Knox class frigate in service 1971 to 1992.  She started her naval career as a Destroyer Escort (DE-1070) and was reclassified as a Fast Frigate (FF-1070) in 1975 making this a very easy patch to date as Hilborn Hamburger stopped production of naval patches circa 1976.
