tthen Posted December 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2015 Evening Gents, I thought there was already a topic regarding this but don't seem to be able to find it. I recently got an email from the CMP stating that NDAA 2016 was passed. Does anyone know what this means. Did the president OK the sale of 1911's? McDermut99 Posted December 14, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2015 It would be nice if those 1911's became available for civilians.
stealthytyler Posted December 14, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2015 Would these 1911 pistols possibly date back to WWII and earlier???
Ronnie Posted December 14, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2015 There haven't been any .45's made since WWII. Contracts ended in 1945. Ronnie

Catfishcraig Posted December 14, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 14, 2015 They will be. CMP stands for the Civilian Marksmanship Program. There are a few qualifications you have to complete. Once completed, you can purchase from the CMP. The question is when.

316th FS 324th FG Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10 Posted January 29, 2016 FYI, it appears the CMP COO addressed this at SHOTShow this month. He said they are expecting somewhere less than 10k units whenever they start shipping and that the bottom end will start at about $1000 and go up from there, with grading scales similar to the Garands
