holdaas Posted December 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 10, 2015 I've collected anchors for a while now; these came as a lot and I am wondering if they're from the same era. I know nothing about dating Officer insignias. The CPO anchor is 1920's or earlier, could someone assist with the time frame of the Lieutenant bars? I'm wondering if it's worth the research to figure out if these belonged to the same person.

hink441 Posted December 10, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 10, 2015 That appears to be a WW1 era Robbins hallmark on those LT. Bars. Very nice!! Chris
Dave Posted December 10, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 10, 2015 Do believe those are WW1 Army captain's bars. The owner was an Army captain. Rather interesting guy from a brief search online...

Tim B Posted December 16, 2015 Share #7 Posted December 16, 2015 The Robbins 3 cartouche style hallmark apparently was used throughout the '20s and '30s and have been seen on wings of that period, and as seen on this CPO cap badge below, as late as early WW2.
