Have had this patch in my unknown box for a very long time. It may, or may not be, military. Even it may be a civilian school, it could have been under contract to the government to teach troops Morse Code/Radio Communications. From the design of the patch I'm thinking it is a Communications School of some type. The letters 'I M I' are the key. What do the stand for? I....? M....? Institute. Or what. Any help appreciated. No WAGs, please.

Hey John. This school later fell under the 3384th Student Sq. at Keesler. I don't know if the use of the patch and the unit number sync up so the patch fell under it. Hard to find all the pertinent history of provisional units, especially non-flying training units. The earliest reference I have found without diving too deep for the 3384th Studs is 1957, but the parent 3380th Technical Training Wing appears to go back to 1948. Anyway, good chance this may be the unit number the school fell under with the patch.
