Nice item. This is the kind of thing that troops actually used in various exercises. You'd be surprised what showed up on field exercises, especially for the troops that were playing recon or "aggressor".

Not to hijack your thread Owen but here's my field Camo hat that belonged to my friend Bill Brooks.....with jump wings. I also have a photo of Bill wearing the cap in Vietnam.

On the way to the flea market I seen a yard sale with a VERY special sign that had my wife and myself in stitches laughing

There was nothing to buy but it sure was funny

Okay, I am going to hijack the thread.

Here is another example of self made camouflage. This photo was taken at a Dallas show, so it is at least 20 years ago. But it is still one of the neatest things I've ever seen.... and did not have the sense to buy! (I hate helmets and field jackets take up way too much space!)

This is from an ROTC field exercise... you can see my good friend on the left wearing a self camouflaged hat.

All the cool kids were doing it! All I had was a Tiger Stripe boonie.

A very fluid drawing and typical of hand drawn late 60s early 70s troopers work

I use this as my about town hipper than thou jacket

My wife thinks it's cute

Hipsters want to be and know it

General Apathy

Thats great !!!!!

I also seen Tanker jackets with painted came before someplace.

Do you have any of those ?

Hi Owen, sorry nothing in camo tankers, I once had a WWII HBT shirt in a fantastic hand applied camo pattern, sadly it had been hung on a wooden hanger for so long both shoulders had rotted through, I traded it on with a friend for something else.
